While journalism reports and fiction reveals, aesthetic journalism does both. - Alfredo Cramerotti

Tate's Midterm
I spent time with an Indian man working at a local Indian restaurant. I interviewed him by letting him just talk about his experience of Providence. I wanted to know what bought him here and what kept him here. He talked at length about education as the primary reason he came. He repeated often that Indian people are very adaptable. He didn't seem to have mud concern that his culture was being lost or changed in a negative way.
For my in class presentation I projected this photo onto the wall which was taken at Spectrum India on Thayer St. I also lit a nauseating stick of incense on a bronze elephant holder. There was a yoga mat on a pedestal and a stool placed on the yoga mat. I sat on the stool while a recording played in the back ground. The recording collaged different speeches that were made on behalf of the Brown University India Initiative.
This project involved a representation of informational and investigative practices in trying to tell or relate a story. Within these I made very clear decisions and presented the information in my own way.
