A google maps search would attest to Spectrum India being the nearest location representing Indian culture from where I live in Providence. Accessibility was a huge factor in determining the level of exposure i could attain within the parameters of the prompt "India in Providence", so i tried to allow this factor to reveal in itself a facet of truth about India's representation in this area. The first part of my project is a video portrait of the store's entirety in an attempt to replicate a browsing experience. The second part is a sculptural painting composed of products sliced from the multicultural amalgamation of symbols and merchandise available in the store.
